Short, because the site is honest
Using this website means these terms apply. There are only four that matter.
The content is education, not advice
Everything published here — the rule library, the field notes, the downloads — explains 33 CFR Part 101 Subpart F as carefully as we can, with the citation behind every claim. It is general information, not legal advice, and not advice about your specific operation. Cybersecurity Plan language, waiver filings, and applicability calls for your fleet need a conversation, and where the law is involved, a maritime attorney. We are not a law firm and we are not the Coast Guard.
Engagements happen in writing
Nothing on this site is an offer, a quote, or a contract. Every engagement is scoped and priced in a written agreement, and only that agreement governs it. Planning figures that appear in our materials are exactly that.
The content is ours; use it fairly
The writing, guides, and templates here are Fairway Systems' work. Download them, print them, use them inside your company freely — that is what they are for. Do not republish them as your own or strip the attribution. The regulation itself belongs to everyone.
No warranty on a moving target
We keep this site accurate and current with unusual care, and the rule, Coast Guard guidance, and dates can still change after a page is published. The site is provided as is; we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of general information here — see term one. When we learn something material changed, we update the page.
