What we collect, and what we will not do

The plain-language version, because that is the only version we have.

What we collect

Two forms and a traffic counter

If you request our free working documents or book a readiness call, we ask for your name, company, work email, role, and roughly how many boats you run — because that is what we need to send the documents, hold the call, and not waste your time with material that does not fit your operation. A small cookie remembers that you already filled in the downloads form so we do not ask twice.

We use web analytics to see which pages are useful: a privacy-focused first-party counter, and Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies and records page views, referrers, and rough geography. We use that data to improve the site, not to advertise to you. We do not run advertising trackers or social pixels on this site.

Your browser also remembers, in this site’s own storage, how you first arrived — a link tag, a search engine, a referring site, or nothing at all. It stays on your device and reaches us only if you choose to submit one of the two forms, at which point it travels with what you typed so we know which of our own efforts actually reached you. It is not shared with anyone and it identifies a route, not a person.

What we do with it

Respond, be useful, stop when asked

We use your details to respond to what you asked for, and occasionally to send you something genuinely relevant — a change in the rule, a deadline, a useful document. No sequences, no selling your attention. Reply with the word stop and we stop.

We store contact details in our own pipeline tools. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information with anyone, and we do not share it except with service providers who host our infrastructure and are bound to confidentiality.

Client material

A note on Sensitive Security Information

For clients: assessment findings, plan contents, and related material are Sensitive Security Information under 49 CFR part 1520. That material is access-controlled, marked, never emailed, and never used in marketing in any identifiable form. That handling is a legal obligation, and it is also the product.
